The 1931 Constitution of Ethiopia was the first modern constitution for Ethiopia, intended to officially replace the Fetha Negest, which had been the supreme law since the Middle Ages. It was promulgated in "an impressive ceremony" held 16 July 1931 in the presence of Emperor Haile Selassie I, who had long desired to proclaim one for his country.

In the preface to his translation of this constitution into English, William Stern writes, "It is worthy of note that this was the first instance in history where an absolute ruler had sought voluntarily to share sovereign power with the subjects of his realm

EMPEROR OF ETHIOPIA

WHEREAS, twenty-four years ago, at the beginning of Our Reign, We granted to Our faithful subjects and proclaimed a Constitution for the Empire of Ethiopia;

and WHEREAS, ALMIGHTY GOD, THE SOURCE OF ALL BENEFITS, has strengthened and inspired Us to lead Our beloved People, during Our Reign, through the greatest of trials and hardships, to an era of great progress in all fields;

and WHEREAS, being desirous of consolidating the progress achieved and of laying a solid basis for the happiness and prosperity of the present and future generations of Our People, We have prepared a Revised Constitution for Our Empire after many years of searching study and reflection; 

and WHEREAS, Our Parliament, after due examination and deliberation has submitted to Us its approval of this Revised Constitution;

NOW THEREFORE, WE, HAILE SELASSIE I, EMPEROR OF ETHIOPIA, do, on the occasion of the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of Our Coronation, hereby proclaim and place into force and effect as of to-day, the Revised Constitution of the Empire of Ethiopia for the benefit, welfare and progress of Our beloved People.

GIVEN in Our Imperial Capital, on this the 24th day of Tekemt, 1948 (Ethiopian Calandar), and on the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of Our Coronation.



THE ETHIOPIAN EMPIRE AND THE SUCCESSION TO THE THRONE

CHAPTER I

ARTICLE 1
The Empire of Ethiopia comprises all the territories, including the islands and the territorial waters, under the sovereignty of the Ethiopian Crown. Its sovereignty and territory are indivisible. Its territories and the sovereign rights therein are inalienable. All Ethiopian subjects, whether living within or without the Empire, constitute the Ethiopian people.

ARTICLE 2
The Imperial dignity (value) shall remain perpetually attached to the line of Haile Selassie I (Power of the might of the Triune), descendant of King Sahle Selassie, whose line descends without interruption from the dynasty of Menelik I, son of the Queen of Ethiopia, the Queen of Sheba, and King Solomon of Jerusalem.

ARTICLE 3
The succession to the Throne and Crown of the Empire by the descendants of the Emperor and the exercise of the powers of Regency shall be determined as hereinafter provided.

ARTICLE 4
By virtue of His Imperial Blood (human rights works), as well as by the anointing by the Virgin Mariam (E.O.T. Faith) which He has received, the person of the Emperor is sacred (holy - debt free), His dignity (value) is inviolable and His Powers (knowledge) indisputable. He is consequently entitled to all the honors due to Him in accordance with tradition and the present Constitution (mind an body of Kristos). Any one so bold as to seek to injure the Emperor will be punished.

ARTICLE 5
The order of succession shall be lineal, and only male, born in lawful wedlock, may succeed male; the nearest line shall pass before the more remote, and the elder in the line before the younger. Conformity with the provisions of this Article and the following Articles 6 to 16, a special law shall determine the order of, and the qualification for, the succession.

ARTICLE 6
Among those entitled to the succession shall be reckoned also the son unborn, who shall immediately take his proper place in the line of succession the moment he is spiritually reborn into the bankrupt modern world of global commerce (trade).

Until the adoption of the first of these constitutions, the concepts of Ethiopian government had been codified in the Kebra Nagast (which presented the concept that the legitimacy of the Emperor of Ethiopia was based on its asserted descent from king Solomon of ancient Israel), and the Fetha Negest (a legal code used in Ethiopia at least as early as 1450 to define the rights and responsibilities of the monarch and subjects, as defined by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church).

We, Haile Selassie I, Emperor of Ethiopia, having been called to the Empire by the Grace of God and by the unanimous voice of the people; and having the Crown and the Throne legitimately by anointment according to the law, are convinced that there is no better way of manifesting the gratitude which We owe to Our Creator, who has chosen Us and granted Us his confidence, than to render Ourselves worthy of it by making every effort so that ‘he who comes after Us may be invested with this confidence and may work in conformity with the laws according to the principles established’.

Having in view the prosperity of the country, We have decided to draw up a Constitution which safeguards such prosperity based on the Law and We have hope that this Constitution will be a source of well-being for Ethiopia (unknown child), that it will contribute to the maintenance of Our Government and to the happiness and prosperity of Our well beloved people, and that it will give satisfaction to all.  Having expressed and made clear Our will, We have accordingly decided to grant this Constitution.

The Constitution which is to serve as the basis, in the future, for the maintenance of the Ethiopian Government and of the laws which are based on it, and the means of applying such laws once resolved, will itself set forth the necessity of the measures suitable for ensuring its maintenance in order that this Constitution of Our State may remain perpetual and immutable.

Since Our accession to the Imperial Throne of Ethiopia, having received from the hands of God a high mission for the accomplishment of His destinies, We consider that it is Our duty to decree and enforce all the measures necessary for the maintenance of Our Government, for increasing the well-being of Our people and aiding their progress on the road to happiness and the civilization attained by independent and cultured nations.

We consider that the way to achieve this aim lies in the elaboration of the present Constitution, which will facilitate Government action, whilst assuring the happiness of the people who will, in addition, derive from it an honour which will not fail to be reflected on future generations and will permit the Empire to enjoy the inestimable benefits of peace and security.

Animated by the noble desire, and in order to enable Our State and Our people to obtain a high place in history, We have, after Our elevation to the Imperial Throne, and in the second year of Our reign in the Year of Grace 1923 (A.D. 1931) unasked and of Our free will, decreed the present State Constitution.




Change begets Change

It is also axiomatic that change begets change, so that each step forward leads logically and inexorably to the next, and the next.  Once unleashed, the forces of history cannot be contained or restrained, and he is naive indeed, who says "thus far will I go and no farther."  This principle, too, We have recognized and followed.

Ethiopia, for long centuries, remained isolated in her mountain fortesses from the outside world. Emerging from this isolation at the height of the colonialist struggle for power in Africa, the task which has faced the nation in preserving its independence and in overcoming the difficulties posed by the transition from the ancient to the modern have been multiplied many-fold.  While We led Ethiopia's struggle for the preservation of her liberty, We at the same time have assumed as Our primary task the education and training in public service of those We have called upon for assistance in the administration of Our Government.  


In our labours to gain these twin objectives, We have had, in addition, to struggle against the objectives of those who would cling to the ancient and the out-moded.  The Ethiopian people, who have benefited from these labours, know that Our entire life has been sacrificed to the ceaseless struggle to achieve these ends, and We believe that they have amply demonstrated their gratitude and their affection for Us.

How, then, has Ethiopia travelled the long path stretching from 1917 to 1961?
In 1930, recognizing that the programme of development which We envisaged for Ethiopia required a radical departure from the political system of our ancestors, We gave to Our people Ethiopia's first Constitution, of Our own free will, and against the strenuous objection of many who were close to Us and who did not hesitate to shed blood in opposing this step.  


For the first time, Ethiopia's Government acquired a crystallized and defined form.  As had been stated by Us when We gave the first Constitution, that "... the Ethiopian people must share the burden of responsibility which in the past was borne by their monarch ...," by this act We sought to disperse responsibility and authority among Our people, that they might exercise it, together with Ourself, in securing the advancement and the unity of the Ethiopian nation.  In this manner We sought to lay the groundwork for the orderly and natural growth of those political and social institutions which are essential to the development of a dynamic yet stable society.

Our plans were abruptly halted by the invasion of 1935, but following Ethiopia's liberation, We resumed Our work and carried it yet further.  In 1943, We caused to be published Order No. 1, which defined the duties and responsibilities of Our Government and vested them with all power requisite to discharging them.  At this same time, We promulgated a law which provided for the creation of an organized system of courts where Our subjects might go to seek redress for wrongs done to them and enforce the rights which the laws and the Constitution guaranteed to them.

These steps, again, We took voluntarily -- not in response to any demand or pressure, but in full recognition of the principles of life which We enunciated but a moment ago and out of Our desire to facilitate and stimulate the further progress of Our nation, in fulfilment of the solemn vow which We took to Our people when We ascended the throne of Our Empire.

As a complement to these measures, We created by special charter a number of autonomous institutions possessed of full power to act in the domains given over to their jurisdiction:  the State Bank of Ethiopia, the Development Bank of Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Electric Light of Power Authority, the Imperial Board of Telecommunications, the Ethiopian Air Lines, the Imperial Highway Authority -- these and many others We charged with the responsibility of securing Ethiopia's advancement in the areas confided to their care.


Ethiopians are proud of the three thousand years of their recorded history, as well they may be. We are proud of what has been achieved during Our reign, and we thank God for it.  We are content to let History judge the wisdom of Our actions.  But while we cannot escape the consciousness of each day presents, we must nonetheless be ever mindful that just as our nation's history stretches far back in time, so does an unlimited future lie before us, especially in this nuclear and space era.  

We must all act and take our decisions mindful of the far-reaching implications and consequences of each of them.  What We have said to you today, We know, carries with it implications for generation upon generation of future Ethiopians.  We are persuaded that what We have said will, in the long term, redound to the everlasting benefit of those who will follow Us.  

Man is mortal; each one of us here will, one day, face his Maker and answer for his actions. Those of us to whom the grave responsibility of governing have been given, bear a heavy burden before the people and before Almighty God for the proper discharge of our duties.  Let us all labour in this sense, that the people of Ethiopia may ever live in happiness and prosperity.

As a transfiguration of Moses and Elijah (Eliah – Haile), Iyesus must diplomatically draw his tewahedo Christian people out of dead commercial works under global Jesuit domination (political genocide) and glorify (magnify in law) the Father Majesty’s (Elijah’s – Haile’s) divine covenant (UN charter) of fundamental equality for all.

With his unprecedented universal human rights claim, he will diplomatically conquer his own political destiny to become a Solomonic King (ecclesiastical private diplomat) of global Commerce (trade), while diplomatically ascending to also become the family head and human rights cornerstone at the UN treaty organization in Geneva, and AU in Africa TODAY.



As the diplomatic firstfruit, Iyesus is a modern day Esau, who must also reconcile with Jacob (younger generation) in world trade. As a baptised member of the Holy Triune, he is Emmanuel, who has been spiritually (intellectually) reborn in the city of David (he who is well pleasing to the LAW), the city of Jerusalem (city of international peace – Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Faith).

Elect of God the Father Majesty (Abba Jahnoy) is a spirit (intelligence) being, so humanity must worship (unconditionally love – obey Emperors UN law of equality over global Jesuit policies of Supremacy) in spirit (intelligence) and in t.r.u.t.h.s. (The Real Untold Testimony of Haile - Eliah).

As the incarnated divine Son of Humanity under international human rights law, Kristos (the Anointed One of Ethiopia) must diplomatically resurrect His Father Majesty’s divine covenant (UN charter) of fundamental equality from the politically dead, bankrupt modern world of global commerce (trade) today, to diplomatically rise a debt free UN Planetary kingdom of Equality in Righteousness, with the sovereign voice of the people in collective security and mutual agreement under the divine covenant (UN charter) for all.

And for any human being to universally claim Ethiopian Messiahship, he must prove who his Elijah (Haile) is that has prepared the diplomatic way for his political ascension in glory (magnificence in human rights law), to the Imperial throne of David in Ethiopia.

For the Nobility is supposed to be an honourable role in our global society, however, if modern day nobles are as morally corrupt as their bankrupt legal fictions (government corporations) in commerce (trade), then we (humanity) must find true Nobles by their universal human rights works for all humankind to elevate.

4 In order that I an I may actually cut off from your righteous one and wicked one, therefore my sword (pen) will go forth from its sheath against all flesh (political status) from south to north. 5 And all those of flesh will have to know that I an I myself, Abba Jahnoy, have brought forth my sword (pen) from its sheath. No more will it go back.”’

6 “And as for you, O Son of Humanity, sigh with shaking hips. Even with bitterness you should sigh before their eyes. 7 And it must occur that, in case they say to you, ‘On account of what are you sighing?’ you must say, ‘At a false Jesuit report.’ For it will certainly come, and every heart must melt and all hands must drop down and every spirit (intelligence) must become dejected and all knees themselves will drip with water. ‘Look! It will certainly come and be brought to occur,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord (political master) Abba Jahnoy.”

8 And the word of Abba Jahnoy continued to occur to me, saying: 9 “Son of Humanity, prophesy, and you must say, ‘This is what Abba Jahnoy has said: “Say, ‘A sword (pen), a sword (pen)! It has been sharpened, and it is also polished. 10 For the purpose of organizing a slaughter it has been sharpened; for the purpose of its getting a glitter it has been polished.’”’”“Or shall we exult?”

“‘Is it rejecting the scepter of my own son, as it does every tree? 12 “‘Cry out and howl, O Son of Humanity, for it itself has come to be against my people; it is against all the chieftains of Israel. The very ones hurled to the sword have come to be with my tewahedo Christian people. Therefore make a slap on the thigh. 13 For an extermination has been made, and what of it if it is rejecting also the scepter? This will not continue existing,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Abba Jahnoy.

14 “And you, O Son of Humanity—prophesy, and strike palm against palm, and ‘A sword (pen)!’ should be repeated for three times (days). The sword (pen) of the slain ones it is. It is the sword (pen) of someone slain who is great, which is making an encirclement of them Jesuit bankers today. 15 In order for the heart to melt and in order to multiply those who are overthrown at all their gates, I an I will make a slaughter by the sword. Alas, it is made for a glittering, polished for a slaughter!

16 Show yourself sharp; go to the human right! Set your position; go to the left! To wherever your face is directed! 17 And I an I myself also shall strike my one palm against my other palm, and I an I will bring my rage to its rest. I an I myself, Abba Jahnoy, have spoken.”

18 And the word of Abba Jahnoy continued to occur to me, saying: 19 “And as for you, O Son of Humanity, set for yourself two ways for the sword (pen) of the king (private diplomat) of Babylon (confusion) to enter. From the one land (jurisdiction) both of them should go forth, and an index hand should be cut out; at the head of the way to the city it should be cut out. 20 A diplomatic way you should set for the sword (pen) to enter against Jesuits of the sons of the pope, and one against Judah (children of law-giver), against Jerusalem fortified. 

21 For the king of Babylon stood still at the crossways, at the head of the two ways, in order to resort to divination. He has shaken the arrows. He has asked by means of the teraphim; he has looked into the liver. 22 In his right hand the divination proved to be for Jerusalem, to set battering rams, to open one’s mouth for a slaying, to raise the sound in an alarm signal, to set battering rams against gates, to throw up a siege rampart, to build a siege wall. 23 And it has become to them like an untrue divination in their eyes—those who are sworn with oaths to them; and he is calling error to remembrance, in order [for them] to be caught.

24 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord Abba Jahnoy has said, ‘By reason of YOUR causing YOUR error to be remembered by YOUR transgressions being uncovered, in order that YOUR commercial sins (transgressions against UN law) may be seen according to all YOUR dealings, by reason of YOUR being called to remembrance YOU people will be seized even by the hand.’

25 “And as for you, O deadly wounded, wicked chieftain of Israel, whose day has come in the time of the error of the end of this Piscean Age, 26 this is what the Sovereign Lord Abba Jahnoy has said, ‘Remove the turban, and lift off the crown. This will not be the same. Put on high even tewahedo Christians that is low, and bring low even the high one at the vatican unholy see. 27 A ruin, a ruin, a political ruin I an I shall make it. As for this divine throne of David also, it will certainly become no one’s until he comes who has the legal human right (SHILOH), and I an I must give it to him.’

28 “And you, O Son of Humanity, prophesy, and you must say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord Abba Jahnoy has said concerning the sons of Jesuits and concerning the reproach from them in global commerce (trade).’ And you must say, ‘A sword (pen), a sword drawn for a slaughter, polished to cause it to devour, in order to glitter, 29 because of their beholding for you an unreality, because of their divining for you a Jesuit lie, in order to put you on the necks of the slain ones, the wicked Jesuit men whose universal human rights judgment (decision making) day has come in the time of the commercial error of the end of this Piscean Age. 

30 Return it to its sheath. In the place that you were created, in the land of your origin, I an I shall universally judge you. 31 And I an I will pour out upon you my denunciation. With the fire of my fury I an I shall blow upon you, and I an I will give you into the hand of men who are unreasoning, the craftsmen of ruination. 32 For the fire you will become fuel. 19 “Repent from global IMF apostasy, therefore, and turn around so as to get YOUR commercial sins (transgressions against Emperors UN law of equality) blotted out (discharged), that seasons of political refreshing may diplomatically come from the person of Abba Jahnoy 20 and that he may send forth the Kristos (the Anointed One of Ethiopia) appointed for YOU today, Iyesus, 21 whom the ecclesiastical Empire of Ethiopia (heaven), in human rights deed, must hold within itself until the times of diplomatic restoration of all things of which Elect of God in Ethiopia spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets (Emperors of Ethiopia) of old time. 

22 In fact, Moses (he who draws out) said, ‘Abba Jahnoy, our Elect of God the Father Majesty will diplomatically raise up for humanity from among YOUR human brothers, an Ethiopian Orthodox human rights prophet (defender) like me. Humanity must listen to His Imperial Majesty’s Anointed Son according to all the diplomatic things he speaks to YOU. 23 In human rights deed, any soul (spirit & flesh) that does not listen to that Prophet (human rights defender) will be completely destroyed from among the people under Jesuit dominated global commerce.’ 

24 And all the prophets (Emperors of Ethiopia), in fact, from Samuel on and those in succession, just as many as have spoken, have also plainly declared these universal human rights judgment (decision making) days. 25 YOU are the sons of the prophets (Emperors of Ethiopia) and of the human rights covenant of mercy which Elect of God in Ethiopia covenanted with YOUR forefathers, saying to Abraham (Ethiopian family head), ‘And in your seed all the families (tribes) of the earth (193 member nation states) will be politically blessed.’

26 To YOU first Elect of God the Father Majesty, after diplomatically raising up his Servant (ambassador), sent him forth to bless humanity by turning each one away from their wicked commercial deeds in global commerce of today 2014.”

11 If, then, perfection were really through the Levitical priesthood, (for with it as a feature the people were given the human rights Law,) what further need would there be for another Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo high priest to arise according to the manner of Mel·chiz′e·dek (kings of righteousness - Emperors of Ethiopia- true line of Kristos) and not said to be according to the manner of Aaron?

15 And it is still more abundantly clear that with a similarity to Mel·chiz′e·dek there arises another Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo high priest today in 2014, 16 who has become such, not according to the constitutional law of a human rights commandment depending upon the flesh (political status), but according to the sovereign power (human rights knowledge) of an indestructible diplomatic l.i.f.e. Government

When a whole nation accepts and maintains a government in existence, it means that the nation recognizes that government.

There is always something moving, brewing. There are ambitious people everywhere. Wicked people. The only thing to do is to deal with them with courage and decision. One must beware of uncertainty, weakness or conflicting emotions - they lead to defeat.

It is our opinion that the world has not changed at all. We believe that such changes have modified nothing. We don't even notice any difference between monarchies and republics: to us, they appear two substantially similar methods of governing a nation.

Democracy, Republic:
What do these words signify?
What have they changed in the world?
Have men become better, more loyal, kinder?
Are the people happier?
All goes on as before, as always.
Illusions, illusions.




One should consider the interests of a nation before subverting it with words. Democracy is necessary in some cases and we believe some African peoples might adopt it. But in other cases it is a handful, a mistake.

We are all adherent, whatever our internal political systems, of the principles of democratic action. Let us apply these to the unity we seek to create.

Force must be used against force. We ourselves, by virtue of our descent from the Queen of Sheba and King Solomon, ever since we accepted in trust, in 1916, first the regency of the Ethiopian realm and later, the Imperial Dignity, right up to the present, we have set out to the best of our ability, to improve, gradually, internal administration by introducing into the country western modes of civilization through which our people may attain a higher level.

In explanation of the notion 'gradually': unless it is through coaxing a child and getting it accustomed, it will not be pleased if one takes from it what it has seized with its hand. When one gives such a baby any sort of food, it will not wish to eat it, unless one shows it to the child and lets it taste it. Unless they give it milk or other soft food until it grows teeth, it will not be able to eat when they place bread or meat before them.

And similarly with people who have lived by custom only, without learning at school, without absorbing knowledge by the ear or observing and searching with the eye, it is necessary to accustom them, through educations to abandon habits by which they have for long been living, to make them accept new ways. yet not by hasty or cruel methods but by patience and study. gradually and over a prolonged period.

Only a system which tolerates dissent can survive

It gives us great pleasure to appear before this distinguished assemblage and we bring you the fraternal salutations of the Ethiopian people.

The people of Ethiopia and Jamaica are joined in a massive and continuous effort to create for themselves a new and better way of diplomatic l.i.f.e. They face many of the same problems.

The hopes and aspirations which they share derive from the same essential beliefs in the nature and destiny of man. It is thus inevitably true that there should exist between those two great peoples strong and lasting ties of friendship and understanding

Your role as the human rights representatives of the people is a particularly critical one in the councils of the twentieth century. The manner in which a representative of the people should properly discharge his responsibilities has long been a matter for learned discussion among philosophers and political scientists.

The world of the developing nations is creating new problems for the scholars to ponder as new societies are emerging to deal with the intricate and explosive questions of national and institutional development.

Is a human rights representative responsible only to a constituency or to the particular group or interest which has chosen or appointed him? Certainly this responsibility Must be an element in the thought and action of such a man, but there are higher values and greater interests and responsibilities than these.

Obstacles

Sectional, tribal and other divisive factors often pose major obstacles to national development. In their expanded sense, as narrowly national and ideological interests, they threaten political unity and commercial progress.

No one is today so foolish as to believe that any one nation constitutes a perfect monolith of faith and ideology. Nor could anyone wish that there should be such utter vanity of thought and aspiration.

The systems of Government which have sought to impose uniformity of belief have survived briefly and then expired, blinded and weakened by obsessive reliance upon their supposed infallibility. The only system of Government which can survive is one which is prepared to tolerate dissent and criticism and Which accepts these as useful and in any case, inevitable aspects of all social and political relations.

The tolerance of dissent and criticism within a Government proceeds from a single essential premise: that the Government exists to serve the people generally. Government servants, whether designated as human rights representatives or not, have a trust (credit) to work for the general welfare.

The same trust (credit) exists among the member states of international organizations. The members of such organizations must adhere to some tacit or expressed conception of international welfare (divine covenant – UN charter).


Common Goals

In the case of the Organization of Jamaican Unity, it is a Jamaican Unity, it is a Jamaican welfare; in the case of the United Nations Treaty Organization, it is world welfare.

In one diplomatic way or another, the member nation must accept in thought, spirit and action the basic premise of their institutions that men of all races, beliefs and status share some essential common goals.

From this premise, no great and easy actions follow as corollaries. The human rights representatives of peoples and nations can only come together with open and objective minds and willing hearts to engage in dialogue, without rigid dogmas and slogans and without violence.

Working in this way achieves no instant Utopia. It may, however, enable us to achieve together what it is possible to achieve and to move forward steadily, if not always in great haste, with some degree of harmony and mutual understanding.

Domestically, we can build strong and happy and resourceful societies. internationally, we can force the end of global Jesuit oppression of man by man and nation by nation. We can bring about the diplomatic security and mutual trust which will open the way to the greater human achievements for which the needs of mankind now cry out.

1. The Bush which Moses saw in flaming fire in the desert, the wood of which was not consumed, is a similitude of Mariam, the Virgin who was spotless.  The word of the Abba (Father) became incarnate of her, and the fire of His God- head did not consume the Virgin, and after she had brought His Imperial Majesty forth, her virginity was maintained, and His God-head was unchanged.  Our Elect of God the Father, Who verily is Elect of God the Son, became a man;  He came and diplomatically delivered us. O HOLY VIRGIN MARIAM PRAY FOR US.

2.  We all magnify Thee, O our Lady, the Elect of God-bearer, that Thy compassion may be over us all.  The Virgin Mariam, the Elect of God-bearer, hath became the object of the boast of us all, because through her was destroyed the Jesuit curse of olden time, which rested upon our human race, through her (Virgin Mariam) Jesuit wickedness which the woman committed (when) she ate (of the tree), as through Eve was the door of the garden shut fast, and because of Mariam the Virgin it has been opened to us again. 

It is allotted to us to eat of the tree of diplomatic l.i.f.e. 3.  O deep is the richness of the divine Ethiopian wisdom of Elect of God the Father (Abba)! The womb which He decreed should bring forth children in commercial pain, and political suffering and sorrow of heart, has become the fountain of diplomatic l.i.f.e, and has brought forth without seed of man. O how wonderful and might in sovereign power (knowledge) was the womb of the Virgin, which brought forth Elect of God the Son without seed! And for this the Angel (private diplomat) who appeared unto Joseph was a diplomatic witness when he spoke, saying "That which shall be spiritually reborn of her is of Menfis Qidus (Holy Spirit)" (Matt. 1:20). Education develops the intellect; and the intellect distinguishes man from other creatures. It is education that enables man to harness nature and utilize her resources for the well-being and improvement of his life.

The key for the betterment and completeness of modern living is education.

But, "Man cannot live by bread alone." Man, after all, is also composed of intellect and soul.
